DokuWikiはWeb標準に準拠し使い方が簡単なウィキで、主にあらゆる種類の文書の作成の支援を主眼に置いています。開発チームやワークグループ、小さい企業に向いています。シンプルですが強力な文法を装備しており、 which makes sure the datafiles remain readable outside the Wiki and 構造化されたテキストを簡単に作れるようになっています。データはプレインなテキストファイルに格納しますので、データベースシステムは不要です。
